This exciting 19-day adventure crosses the continent. Commencing in Buenos Aires, the city of tango, and finishing in Lima, founded in 1535 and known then as the ‘City of the Kings’.
After visiting the sites of Buenos Aires and experiencing this cosmopolitan city, transfer to the magnificent Iguassu Falls for two nights. Then, by air, transfer to Salta, located in the centre of the Argentinean winelands. After seeing this colonial city and tasting some of the exquisite wines of the region, the journey continues north into Bolivia, a landlocked country high on the Andean Altiplano. Here the soaring, snow-capped mountain peaks, the desolate salt lakes and incredible landscapes of the Altiplano are sure to leave lasting memories. After visiting La Paz, the world’s highest capital city, we cross Lake Titicaca to Copacabana, Puno and on to Cuzco, the major centre of the Incas. A full day excursion by First Class train and bus takes you to Machu Picchu. After returning to Cuzco with a leisure day to explore the Indian market, fly to Lima for your return or onward flight.

ITINERARY
 

Day 1: Athens
You are met on arrival and transferred to a centrally located hotel for three nights. Remainder of day at leisure.
 

Day 2: Athens  [B]
After breakfast depart for a half-day guided tour. Drive past the Parliament House, stop to view the changing of the guard, continue to the Pan-Athenian Stadium and the Roman Temple of Zeus, then on to the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Afternoon at leisure.

 

Day 3: Your first Greek Island  [B]
We transfer you to Piraeus where you board your first Greek ferry. You’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel for two nights.

 

Day 4: Your first Greek Island  [B]
A full day at leisure allows you to explore the island or relax. You’ll be amazed at the peaceful ambience and unique atmosphere, the narrow winding streets, colourful harbour and outdoor tavernas.

 

Day 5: Your second Greek Island  [B]
Transfer to the harbour and the ferry to your next island paradise. Arrival transfer to your hotel and leisure time.

 

Day 6: Your second Greek Island  [B]
The full day at leisure.

 

Day 7: Your third Greek Island  [B]
Departure transfers and ferry to your third island. Arrival transfer to your hotel followed by leisure time.

 

Day 8: Your third Greek Island  [B]
A full day at leisure on the island. You may wish to take a local bus, or hire a car, to visit coastal or inland villages, or relax and swim in the warm Aegean or hotel pool.

 

Day 9: Athens  [B]
Transfer and Fast Ferry to Piraeus followed by transfer to your hotel for overnight.

 

Day 10: Olympia  [BD]
Depart from your Athens hotel for the Corinth Canal, then drive to the amphitheatre at Epidaurus. Continue to Nauplion and Mycenae where we visit the Tomb of Agamemnon and the Archaeology Museum, continue through the central Peloponnesus to Olympia for overnight.

 

Day 11: Delphi  [BD]
After a morning tour of Olympia, its stadium and temples, we drive through Eliad and Achaia and across the Corinthian Bridge to Antirion and Delphi.

 

Day 12: Meteora  [BD]
Visit the site and museum of Delphi after breakfast. Afternoon drive to Kalamaka, a small village situated at the foot of the Meteora pinnacles.

 

Day 13: Athens  [B]
During the morning we visit the Monasteries of Meteora. Though the location of the monasteries is spectacular, so too are their collections of Byzantine art. Afternoon return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopile.

 

Day 14: Departure  [B]
Transfer to Athens airport for your onward flight.
