This exciting 19-day adventure crosses the continent. Commencing in Buenos Aires, the city of tango, and finishing in Lima, founded in 1535 and known then as the ‘City of the Kings’.
After visiting the sites of Buenos Aires and experiencing this cosmopolitan city, transfer to the magnificent Iguassu Falls for two nights. Then, by air, transfer to Salta, located in the centre of the Argentinean winelands. After seeing this colonial city and tasting some of the exquisite wines of the region, the journey continues north into Bolivia, a landlocked country high on the Andean Altiplano. Here the soaring, snow-capped mountain peaks, the desolate salt lakes and incredible landscapes of the Altiplano are sure to leave lasting memories. After visiting La Paz, the world’s highest capital city, we cross Lake Titicaca to Copacabana, Puno and on to Cuzco, the major centre of the Incas. A full day excursion by First Class train and bus takes you to Machu Picchu. After returning to Cuzco with a leisure day to explore the Indian market, fly to Lima for your return or onward flight.

ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, our representative will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel.

 

Day 2: Delhi    [B]
After breakfast visit the Red Fort, a massive sandstone fort built by Shah Jahan on the banks of river
Yamuna with time for a photo stop. We then cross the road to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in
India. Built in 1656 by Shahjahan, about 20,000 people can pray here at a time – one of the largest
Islamic monuments in the world. We also visit Rajghat - the cremation ground of Mahatama Gandhi.
Afternoon city tour of New Delhi visiting Qutub Minar, the tower of victory started by Qutub-Ud-Din-
Aibak in 1199AD upon becoming sultan of Delhi, the Lotus temple - this distinctive lotus shaped
marvel is a symbol of peace. We also visit India Gate (the war memorial) and view the outside of the
 Presidents House.

 

Day 3: Jaipur    [BD]
After breakfast departure for Jaipur, checking in to our hotel on arrival. Tonight we have a special
Rajasthani dinner.

 

Day 4: Jaipur    [B]
A morning visit to the Amber Palace, and perhaps an elephant-back ride. During the afternoon we explore the sights of the ‘pink city’ visiting the Palace of the Winds, Jantar Mantar and the City Palace Museum. Afterwards we take a rickshaw ride through the oldest part of the city and visit a gem-cutting workshop.

 

Day 5: Jaipur – Agra    [B]
After breakfast departure for Agra with an enroute visit at Fatehpur Sikri. After checking-in to your hotel attend an evening demonstration on marble craftsmanship.

 

Day 6:  Agra – Varanasi    [B]
Visit the Taj Mahal, one of the most photographed monuments in the world. The Taj Mahal’s glory and beauty surpasses beyond all imaginations. Proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Agra Fort. The elephant building inside reflecting an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural style built by Emperor Akber. Also visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-dullah - a two storied tomb bearing mosaics and inlaid with semi-precious stones. Drive to Tundla railway station for the overnight train for Varanasi.

 

Day 7: Varanasi    [B]
Arrive Mughal Sarai railway station, our representative will transfer you to the hotel.
Half day excursion to Sarnath - the place where Buddha, after enlightenment gave his first sermon. Enjoy Pooja ceremony (Arti) on Ganges Ghats.
 
Day 8: Varanasi – Kathmandu    [B]
We begin the day with a short cruise down the Ganges River. The boat stops at the Bathing Ghat observatory,
 the Nepalese Temple of Love, the Cremation Ghats. Return to hotel for breakfast.
Transfer to the airport to connect flight for Kathmandu. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu

 

Day 9: Kathmandu    [B]
Morning after breakfast Kathmandu city tour visit Pashupati Nath Temple, Boudha Nath & Bhaktapur
Afternoon excursion to Patan.

 

Day 10: Kathmandu    [B]
Day at leisure to explore Kathmandu’s bazaars.

 

Day 11: Departure    [B]
Morning at leisure until transfer to the airport for your onwards arrangements.
