This exciting 19-day adventure crosses the continent. Commencing in Buenos Aires, the city of tango, and finishing in Lima, founded in 1535 and known then as the ‘City of the Kings’.
After visiting the sites of Buenos Aires and experiencing this cosmopolitan city, transfer to the magnificent Iguassu Falls for two nights. Then, by air, transfer to Salta, located in the centre of the Argentinean winelands. After seeing this colonial city and tasting some of the exquisite wines of the region, the journey continues north into Bolivia, a landlocked country high on the Andean Altiplano. Here the soaring, snow-capped mountain peaks, the desolate salt lakes and incredible landscapes of the Altiplano are sure to leave lasting memories. After visiting La Paz, the world’s highest capital city, we cross Lake Titicaca to Copacabana, Puno and on to Cuzco, the major centre of the Incas. A full day excursion by First Class train and bus takes you to Machu Picchu. After returning to Cuzco with a leisure day to explore the Indian market, fly to Lima for your return or onward flight.

This program is intended for young families, or for those who want a relaxing break from every-day life. We have included short tours to the major sites and markets of Saigon and Hanoi, so as not to tire the younger family members and to provide opportunities to purchase jeans and Nikes at bargain rates. Also included are leisurely days on the beach at Nha Trang and at a resort-style hotel in the medieval town of Hoi An. You will find time to relax and unwind while the kids splash in outdoor swimming pools. In our view- Fiji eat your heart out. This is so much better.

ITINERARY
 

Day 1: Saigon   [D]
You are met on arrival and transferred to the family friendly Mays Hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City. Make full use of the indoor pool, gym and other facilities.
 

Day 2: Saigon   [BD]
A morning guided tour includes a visit to the most prominent French colonial buildings, the Chinese Pagoda and the street markets of the city. Afternoon at leisure.
 

Day 3: Nha Trang   [BD]
Transfers and flight to Nha Trang, located on the beaches of the south-central coast. Transfer to your resort hotel for 3 nights. Remainder of day at leisure.
 

Days 4-5: Nha Trang   [BD]
These days are at leisure but there are many activities available, from island hopping cruises to cycloped excursions into the historic city, or a visit to the Long San Pagoda and the impressive Aquarium.
 

Day 6: Hoi An   [BD]
Transfers and flight to DaNang, a city located on China Beach on the central coast. On arrival transfer to the medieval, UNESCO listed city of Hoi An, a trading port since the 17th century, and check-in at your resort hotel on the banks of the Thu Bon River.
 

Day 7-8: Hoi An   [BD]
Days at leisure to enjoy the two outdoor swimming pools or relax beneath the palm trees. Across the bridge, only a few minutes walk from your hotel, are the main streets of Hoi An. You could book the entire family into a morning Cooking Class, visit the Quan Cong Temple, or cross the ancient Japanese Bridge. Hoi An is a small, safe city with narrow streets and no motorised traffic.
 

Day 9: Hanoi   [BD]
Transfers and flight to Hanoi. You are met on arrival and transferred to your hotel on the outskirts on the Old Quarter. A guided, afternoon stroll through the old city streets is included.
 

Day 10: Hanoi   [BLD]
We include a cultural tour to complete the trip. Departing with your guide visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One-Pillar Pagoda and Stilt House. After lunch at a local restaurant continue to the 11thC, Confucian Temple of Literature, followed by ice-cream on the shores on Hoan Kiem Lake and attendance at a traditional Water-Puppet Show.
 

Day 11: Departure   [B]
Leisure time until transfer to Hanoi airport for onward flight
