Sailing: Fridays The Galapagos Journey I is one of the most beautiful yachts in the Galapagos. Built in 2006 and designed for travellers seeking exclusiveness and uniqueness. She accommodates 16 passengers in 8 cabins, each with outside views and a private bathroom. Scientific discussions and lectures are provided by naturalist guides. ITINERARY Day 1: Baltra [LD] Arrive Baltra airport. Transfer to board Galapagos Journey I. Afternoon to relax on Las Bachas beach. Day 2: Genovesa Island [BLD] Genovesa is one of the most impressive islands in the archipelago and home of the beautiful Darwin Bay and famous for its great diversity of birds. Day 3: Santa Fe Island [BLD] Santa Fe Island has its own sub-species of iguana, often seen near the prickly pear cacti. The scenic and sheltered cove gives a great opportunity for some snorkelling to see the spotted eagle ray. Day 4 & 5: San Cristobal Island [BLD] San Cristobal has all the basic facilities such as phone and internet. There’s an abundance of unique Galapagos vegetation and a sanctuary for giant tortoises. Lobos island provides another opportunity for snorkelling Day 6: Espanola Island [BLD] One of the great tourist spots on the Islands. See red green marine iguanas basking in the sun, the sea lions on the pristine beaches or the blue footed boobies nesting all around. Day 7: Floreana Island [BLD] Visit Loberia, a small peninsula with large colonies of sea lions. Along the shoreline is home to marine iguanas, rays, sea turtles and sharks. Also home to small colonies of Galapagos penguins. Post Office Bay is the earliest recorded mailing system in the East Pacific. Day 8: Santa Cruz Island [B] Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and Puerto Ayora before transfer to Baltra for your onwards flight. |
