We have included short tours to the major sites and markets of Saigon and Hanoi, so as not to tire the younger family members and to provide opportunities to purchase jeans and Nikes at bargain rates. Also included are leisurely days on the beach at Nha Trang and at a resort-style hotel in the medieval town of Hoi An. You will find time to relax and unwind while the kids splash in outdoor swimming pools. In our view- Fiji eat your heart out. This is so much better.

The fantastic mountainous and fjord-like landscapes of Musandam are a scenic delight. In addition to a Dhow cruise along the coast, we include a 4WD Mountain safari, to an altitude of 1784m above sea level, and a visit to the ancient village of Bait ul Kufal and the Khalidiya National Park.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Khasab

You are met on your arrival at the small airport at Khasab, the main town on the Musandam Peninsula, and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Mountain Safari [BL]

Depart by 4WD after breakfast for Jebel Harim. Spectacular scenery of mountain peaks and valleys, and a visit to the ancient village of Bait ul Kufal and a National Park are included. After lunch at a local restaurant we return to Khasab for a short orientation of the town.

Day 3: Dhow Cruise [BL]

Board a traditional Dhow for a full-day cruise along the deeply indented shore line. The boat will anchor in several fjords and at sandy beaches. There’ll be time for a swim or snorkeling, and perhaps dolphin sightings, in the pristine waters. Lunch on board.

Day 4: Khasab [B]

Breakfast and check-out by 12noon followed by transfer to Khasab airport for your onward travel.
