ITINERARY
Day 1: Cape Town Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to your hotel in the city. The rest of the day is at leisure but many attractions are easily accessible.
Day 2: Table Mountain & Two Oceans Aquarium [B] Spend the morning exploring Table Mountain , making the ascent by cable car (weather permitting), and enjoy the magnificent views of this scenic city. In the afternoon, the kids will be sure to love the Two Oceans Aquarium as they discover the diversity of marine life found in the Atlantic and Indian Ocean .
Day 3: Cape Point & Kirstenbosch Gardens [B] Full day tour to explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point, the scenic Cape Peninsula . At Boulder 's Beach you'll find one of the highest sea cliffs in the world (250m above sea level) and a colony of African penguins. The afternoon is spent at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens set against the back slopes of Table Mountains . We suggest you take a picnic basket to relax on the well manicured lawns, or take lunch in the restaurant.
Day 4: Garden Route - Oudtshoorn [B] Depart early for the drive along the Garden Route and Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. The hotel tonight is a Victorian homestead on a working ostrich, alfalfa and vine farm, with spectacular views of the Swartberg Mountains . No doubt that the children will make use of the homestead's pool.
Day 5: Garden Route - Oudtshoorn [B] After breakfast visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and an Ostrich farm. The Wildlife Ranch is a breeding facility for endangered species and offers visitors the opportunity to interact with hand reared cheetahs. The Natural Encounters program also lets visitors get close to tiger cubs, wrap yourself in a python or dive with Nile crocodile.
Day 6 & 7: Garden Route [B] We cross the rolling Outeniqua Mountains to the coastal resort city of Plettenberg Bay , an area of outstanding scenic beauty with indigenous forests, lakes and meandering rivers, and continue to the Knysna Elephant Park and the Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary.
Day 8 & 9: Addo Elephant National Park [B] Continue through the dense Tsitsikama Forest to the Addo Elephant Park . The days are spent on game drives in the reserve to view the countless species of animals that call it home.
Day 10: Port Elizabeth [B] After breakfast, transfer to Port Elizabeth where your family vacation comes to an end. |
