The Essence of Egypt is a 15 day tour of Egypt. Included are 6 nights at a 4* Hotel in Cairo, a 5* five-day Nile Cruise with all meals from Luxor to Aswan and two nights in Alexandria at a hotel facing the Mediterranean Sea. We then board a 5* Deluxe Nile Cruise ship and sail to Luxor, viewing the Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu en-route. We spend additional nights at a deluxe hotel in Luxor. This again allows time to stroll through the colourful souks, visit the Valley of Kings, see the extraordinary Temples of Karnak and Luxor, walk along the peaceful Corniche, and meet the friendly locals. We then return to Cairo and overnight before driving on to El Alamein and the city of Alexandria.

The ultimate Middle Eastern Odyssey

Begin this incredible journey in Cairo with visits to the Egyptian Museum, the pyramids and Sphinx. We then fly south to Luxor where we visit the fantastic Temples of Luxor and Karnak, the Valley of Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. We then fly across the Eastern Desert and Suez to Sharm el Sheik and continue by road to our hotel in Taba. We leave Egypt and enter Jordan at Aqaba and visit Wadi Rum, Petra, the Crusader fortification of Kerak and the Dead Sea as we drive to Amman. En-route to Damascus we see the Roman cities of Jerash and Bosra and, in the walled city of Damascus, the great mosques of the Umayyad period and ancient Christian churches. We then visit Palmyra and the Euphrates Valley as we drive to Aleppo. On our return to Damascus we stop at the old water wheels at Hama and the incredible fortification of Crac des Chevaliers.
