Family Holiday in Vietnam
Upcoming school holiday departures -

25 September/ 8 January

This program is intended for young families, or for those who want a relaxing break from every-day life. We have included short tours to the major sites and markets of Saigon and Hanoi, so as not to tire the younger family members and to provide opportunities to purchase jeans and Nikes at bargain rates. Also included are leisurely days on the beach at Nha Trang and at a resort-style hotel in the medieval town of Hoi An. You will find time to relax and unwind while the kids splash in outdoor swimming pools. In our view- Fiji eat your heart out. This is so much better.

Only AUD$3275 per adult in twin share
        Children <11 years AUD$2320 sharing

Viewing the trenches and cemeteries at Gallipoli is an unforgettable experience. Australian travellers flock to the Gallipoli Peninsula to retrace the steps of our fallen heroes, to see Anzac Cove, the trenches, the battlefields. It is a moving experience never forgotten.

Modern Turkey was founded on the remnants of the Ottoman Empire. This empire, arguably the most powerful political entity of its time, and a rival to Spain during the 16th century, eventually collapsed after WW1. After that, through a bold experiment initiated by Kemal Ataturk, the country turned westwards, and the Turkey we know today is the result.

But Turkey has much more to offer. Imagine ancient Greek and Roman cities;  Ephesus, Pergamon, Aspendos to name only a few. Turkey was the cradle of civilization even before the Greeks and Romans arrived. Hittite and Turkoman tribal groups established themselves on the Anatolian Plateau, early Christians fortified themselves in cave-like cities in the rocks of Cappadocia, ancient sailors plied the coasts to ports such as Kusadasi, Antalya and Antakya. Much of this rich cultural heritage can still be experienced today.

Today you will find that Istanbul and Ankara are lively cosmopolitan cities. Coffee and kebab shops are found in tree-lined boulevards. The ‘pavement café culture’ is a deeply ingrained tradition. The coastal cities of Kusadasi, Mamaris and Antalya are regular ports of call to cruise liners. And yet, in the nearby villages of the Taurus Mountains, nothing seems to have changed for centuries.

The ‘fairy chimneys’ of Cappadocia  and the travertine pools of Pamukkale are well known, but are even more amazing than  depicted in photographs. To wade in the pools of Pamukkale, to float over the fairy chimneys in a hot air balloon, to see the Whirling Dervish or witness a traditional belly dance; these are only some of the memories you’ll return with.
